Oftentimes we go the doctor with symptoms and then leave with some band-aid solutions that may calm the symptoms but don't really solve the problem. Stubborn weight is really just an indication of a body out of balance. So, if we can use detective work to find that root source of imbalance, it is much easier to fix it.
We all have different make-ups and are exposed to different stressors. These stressors can include our food, emotions, environment and mindset that we are exposed to daily. Add this to your body's bioindividual current state of health makes us all unique. This is why cookie-cutter programs make it difficult to be effective with longlasting results.

It still feels like yesterday when I weighed 50 more pounds than I do today. I remember having this thin and beautiful friend who would always check herself out any time we walked by anything that showed her reflection. I, on the other hand remember doing anything to AVOID looking at my reflection as I always felt ashamed. I hated looking back at what I saw.
I tried EVERYTHING to release weight...NutriSystem, Weight Watchers, low fat, low calorie. If the diet was out there, I tried it. At one point, I was so desperate, I thought if I could just eliminate everything I ate by purging it back up, I thought I wouldn't gain any weight. I'd go to the market and buy a gallon of ice cream and down it in just 10 minutes and then stick my fingers down my throat so I could "erase" the fact that I ate it. But it didn't even work and even made me sick.
I was miserable and felt hopeless. I struggled for years as I felt out of control. All I wanted was to look like my thin and beautiful friend.
I finally found the first part of the secret in 2005 when my daughter got very sick with an autoimmune disease. Say what?

My daughter's gastroenerologist prescribed a variety of medications but she only got worse. We finally put the brakes on her treatment when he recommended chemotherapy drugs--excuse me, this kid is only 12 years old! There must be another way.
We sadly realized that once again, the drugs were only treating her symptoms... But what was causing these symptoms?
We finally sought help to discover the ROOT CAUSE of her disease and that's how she finally healed and has been in remission for over 12 years. Yes, healed.
